CSS Play

Monday, July 24th, 2006

Link: CSSPlay.co.uk

Stu Nicholls created this site in the hope that it will help newcomers to CSS and show old hands that it is more than just a mechanism for styling your documents. It is oh so much more.

Because CSSplay deals with experimental CSS that is exactly what you get JUST CSS, no javascript or any other programming language has been used in any of the demonstrations.

This is an AWESOME site!

First week at Focal Scape

Saturday, July 22nd, 2006

Last week I started a new job at a design firm called Focal Scape. So far its great. It’s in a great area, the people are cool, the moneys good, and I am doing what I love to do. In a strange coincidence Mando who is part of Focal Scape Media Corp turns out to be David from Flip Seven’s brother AND… my boss Geoff got his ink done by the same tattoo artist that I go to but like 10 years ago. How bizarre, how bizarre. I like it there. I will attempt to keep doing freelance work as long as I can find time.

Why is ThickBox so cool? Well, because it’s unobtrusive, simple to use, simple to implement, and more powerful then Greybox or Lightbox alone. Don’t believe me. Let’s have a look at what ThickBox does…
